This story revolves around three different households from completely different cultural societies, backgrounds and status but are linked to one another in some way. It shows that despite being from different backgrounds, they all face similar issues and harsh realities of the society.

The story starts off with Noori (Suhaee Abro), a young village girl who decides to get justice after getting brutally gang raped by 3 guys where one of them is the son of a powerful politician. She faces a lot of challenges along the way, however, she never gives up and does whatever she can to get her voice heard. What happens afterwards is tragic and shows the reality of Pakistani society that no matter what happens, power always wins against the weak.

Zubia (Sajal Aly), a young, naive girl who has been brought up in a strict household makes a mistake during her college days which ends up affecting her life dramatically. Her family also keeps putting her down and reminding her of what she did to which she eventually loses her self-confidence. She feels that she does not deserve a good life anymore and ends up going far away to focus on helping others and not think about herself. She becomes a doctor which was her dream and gets a job in a newly built hospital where she meets Asfandyar.

Asfandyar (Ahad Raza Mir), who, in the past ends up getting tangled up in betrayal and deceit due to his elder brother's selflessness of helping others in need, transforms from a happy-go-lucky and loving guy to a strict, angry and arrogant person who everyone dislikes. He also ends up becoming a doctor and starts working in the same hospital (which he also helped build) as Zubia. However, they have met in the past.

How do they know each other? How are these three stories linked to one another? You will need to watch the drama to find out.

This drama makes you question, should a person be judged by others for the rest of their life based on a small mistake they made?

I love Sajal Aly so much. Despite being so young, I feel that she should be named in the same category as some of her senior actors. She is extremely talented and can do any sort of role effortlessly. I really loved her character in this and the way it develops gradually. My favourite scene of the drama has to be one of the scenes in the last episode where Zubia and Asfandyar are having a conversation about the past. Sajal's acting was so impactful that it really brought tears to my eyes.

I believe this was Ahad Raza Mir's second drama after appearing briefly in the drama, 'Sammi.' I liked his acting in Sammi but since he was only in it for a couple of episodes, I did not think much of him. However, in Yaqeen Ka Safar, he instantly became one of my favourites out of the new actors. The way his character's personality transitions from a positive thinking and funny person to the polar opposite is amazing and is not easy to portray. However, Ahad done it with such ease and made the character believable. You could feel his pain and could understand why he was acting the way he was.

Yaqeen Ka Safar is based on a novel, "Woh Yakeen Ka Naya Safar." This drama is one of my most favourite dramas and has received critical acclaim and has also won awards. It was the highest rated drama of 2017 in Pakistan.

Rating: 10/10
